Myanmar national team striker Kyaw Koko, who parted ways with Thai League-1 club Sukhothai, underwent a medical examination with Thai League-2 club Chiang Mai United on May (12).

After Kyaw Koko parted ways with the Sukhothai team, he searched for a new team and was offered by two Thai clubs, and finally decided to undergo a medical with Chiang Mai United.

Chiang Mai United announced on the evening of May (12th) that Kyaw Ko Ko had undergone a medical examination via the team’s Facebook page, and announced that the results of the medical examination were good and that the results would be released soon.

“When we broke up with the Sukhothai team, we talked to two Thai clubs. Out of those two teams, we are finalizing talks with Chiang Mai United and he underwent a medical examination on May (12th). The medical examinations are good. We will know all the results from tomorrow (May 13th). According to the status of the medical examination, the contract will be officially announced by the team,” Kyaw Koko replied to Eleven Sports’ inquiry.

Kyaw Koko did not even play a full season in the Sukhothai team and broke up during the suspension of the competition due to the COVID-19 disease.

Kyaw Koko has been playing in Thai clubs since 2018, and if the contract with Chiang Mai United is signed, it will be the first time he has played in Thai League-2. Previously, he only played in Thai League-1 clubs.

Kyaw Ko Ko played for Chiang Rai United in the 2018 season. In the 2019 season, the Samath Prakhan team In the 2020 season, he played for the Sukhothai team and struggled to play regularly due to an injury sustained in the Chiang Rai United team.
